What is DayCare?

In the hustle and bustle of today's life, often our K-9 companions don't get the attention and exercise that they need.

Being the social creatures that they are, dogs need a great deal of interaction, with not only their human family, but their K9 ones as well to be happy and content.

Your dog will enjoy a day of play and exercise in an organized play group, under the constant care of an experienced dog handler.

We have a large spacious and safe indoor and outdoor play area for your dog.


1 - 3 Days/Wk......$28.00 per day
4 - 5 Days/Wk......$24.00 per day
Discounts available for multiple dog families.

There is also a Small Dog group that meets on Mondays and Thursdays. This is for dogs under 30lbs.

About the Owner

Hello, I am Fred Davis, a resident of Belchertown and a multiple dog owner myself. I not only bring a love of dogs to my business, but years of experience raising and showing them as well. I have been involved with German Shepherd Dog's since the early 70's. I also work with other respected members of the dog care community.

I did some training but now use a trainer for classes. I have been involved with German Shepherd Rescue for about 3 years. I do home visits for adoption and fostering, Dog evaulations for temperment on dogs being surrendered and work several dog related events throughout the year. I have recently become certified with the AKC as a Canine Good Citizenship evaulator and will be offering classes at Luca's.

I became involved in Daycare in 2001 when I was bringing Luca to k9capers in Agawam. After moving to Belchertown, Heather Staas, owner of K9 Capers, convinced me to open my own place. I must say it is the best job I ever had.

I currently own 3 GSD's. Luca, 8 years old and Owner of Luca's K9 Playhouse, Abby, 6 years old and C.E.O. of Luca's and 20 month old Buddy, GSRNE #243, the playhouse clown.
